So I've made my choice on screens and decided to go with this one:

My reasons are as follows:

*Same price or cheaper than most 22"
*1920 x 1080 full HD resolution compared to a 22" 1680 X 1050
(widescreen movies without black bars

)
*DC 20000:1 (1000:1) (typ.) (Can someone please explain contrast ratio to me, do I want higher or lower)
*Response: 5ms (Honestly, I won't notice the diff between 2 and 5 ms)
*15 pin D-SUB, DVI-D, separate H / V, composite, SOG

Any objections?

I forgot, the most awesome part is the price. So far my best price is not even from my suppliers but from http://www.buycomputers.co.za/default.a ... select=all

Is there anything I should know about buying from buycomputers
It's R2199 incl and they 32 units in stock.

Courier is R182 incl and I'll get it in 2-3 days.

Because, if Syth is to be trusted and isn't talking BS as usual, that price is excluding VAT. Including VAT, it's R2278. :wink:

How did you get that. Is it a store or what? Will they deliver? And how reliable are they. 'Cos I'd rather pay an extra 200 at buycomputers for peace of mind.

I see they're in durban. Are they an online store? 'cos buycomputers will deliver it for R182 from the Cape.

There is a really cool little PC shop around the corner from Tottenham Court Road, they have really good prices. But somehow Ido not think that helps.

contrast ratio is higher the better.

Problem is Samsung vomits on their screens which gives them the magical ability to stick a 20 000:1 contrast ratio on, which is just bollocks.

You want normal contrast ratio not their "Digital Contrast" or what ever marketing poo they smear on it.
